- Once the pressure regulator weight has completely released the pressure and is no longer making a sound, carefully take it off. Open the pressure cooker cover and check the green grams. I like my green grams soft not al dente.
- At this point taste to see if the salt is to your liking. The liquid should have reduced and will be thick.
- Wipe pressure cooker base and return to cooker. Switch it back on to high.
- Add 1/4 cup boiling water and stir. Let it boil for 5 more minutes then reduce the heat to low (simmer)
- Add the coconut cream and stir to mix. Let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. DO NOT be tempted to increase your heat at this point as the coconut cream could curdle.
- After 10 minutes of simmering, turn off the cooker and serve your green grams. Enjoy it with chapati or rice and vegetables.
